Details of Data Processing on Our Website
Data Hosting and Security
We host the content of our website with an external provider and use SSL/TLS encryption to protect your data.
Host Europe
The provider is Host Europe GmbH, Hansestraße 111, 51149, Cologne. When you visit our website, Host Europe collects various log files, including your IP addresses, to ensure a reliable display of our website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
Details can be found in Host Europe's privacy policy: https://www.hosteurope.de/AGB/Datenschutzerklaerung/
SSL/TLS Encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content (e.g., enquiries), this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the "https://" in your browser's address bar and the padlock symbol. This prevents third parties from reading your data.
Scope of Data Collection
When you visit our website and contact us, we collect certain data.
Server Log Files
Your browser automatically transmits information to us, which is stored in server log files. This includes:
  • Browser type and version

These data are collected for the error-free display and optimisation of our website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

If you contact us via these channels, your enquiry, including your name and concern, will be stored and processed to handle your request. Your data will not be passed on without your consent. Processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (performance of contract/pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in processing) or your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR).
Your data will remain with us until the purpose of storage no longer applies or you request its erasure.
Use of Audio and Video Conferencing
We use online conferencing tools for communication with our customers and partners.
Data Collection
The conferencing tools collect data you enter (email, phone number), as well as technical data (IP addresses, device IDs, operating system, camera/microphone type) and "contextual information" about the session (duration, number of participants, metadata). Content you exchange (chats, files) is also stored on the providers' servers.
Purpose and Legal Basis
We use these tools for communication with contractual partners (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR) and to simplify communication (legitimate interest, Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). With your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), the use is based on this legal ground.
Storage Duration
Data directly collected by us will be erased when the purpose no longer applies or if you request its erasure/withdrawal. We have no influence over the storage duration of data by the tool operators.
Conferencing Tool Used: Microsoft Teams
We use Microsoft Teams. The provider is Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland.
Details on data processing can be found in Microsoft Teams' privacy policy: https://privacy.microsoft.com/de-de/privacystatement
Microsoft is certified under the "EU-US Data Privacy Framework" (DPF), which ensures European data protection standards for data processing in the USA. Further information
We have concluded a data processing agreement (DPA) with Microsoft, which ensures that your data are processed only according to our instructions and in accordance with the GDPR.
Handling of Applicant Data
If you apply to us, we process your personal data carefully and confidentially in accordance with applicable data protection regulations.
Data Collection and Purpose
We process your application data (e.g., contact details, application documents) for the decision regarding an employment relationship. The legal bases are Section 26 BDSG, Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, and where applicable, your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), which can be withdrawn at any time. Only personnel involved in our company will have access to your data.
Retention Period
In case of a rejection or withdrawal of the application, we retain your data for up to 6 months based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) for evidentiary purposes. The data will then be erased. Longer retention is possible with your consent or due to legal retention obligations.
Further Important Information
Legal Bases of Data Processing
Your data are primarily processed based on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), for the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR), for compliance with legal obligations (Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR), or due to our legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). The specific legal bases are explained in more detail in the text.
Recipients of Personal Data
We only pass on your data to external bodies if this is necessary for the performance of a contract, there is a legal obligation, we have a legitimate interest, or another legal basis permits this. In the case of data processors, this is always done on the basis of a valid data processing agreement (DPA).
Objection to Advertising Emails
We object to the use of our contact details, published in the imprint, for sending unsolicited advertising and information material. We reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unwanted promotional mailings.
Storage Duration
Unless a specific storage duration is mentioned, your data will remain with us until the purpose of data processing no longer applies. In the event of a legitimate request for erasure or withdrawal of consent, your data will be erased, unless legally permissible reasons (e.g., retention periods) require longer storage.
